Welcome to the World of TaskManSync
Your taskbar, your way.
TaskManSync gives KDE Plasma a shared task workspace across your panels and monitors — and then lets you make that workspace your own.
Put TaskManSync on one or multiple panels and monitors. Your task arrangement stays synchronized, giving you one consistent workspace wherever you choose to place it. Each TaskManSync applet can have its own orientation, available space, and presentation, so the same workspace can look and feel consistent on each panel.
But synchronization is only the beginning. TaskManSync gives you Regions for arranging applications, Launchers for permanent application entries, and Decorations for turning the taskbar into something much more than a row of tasks. You can even host Plasma Widgets alongside your tasks and other workspace items.
TDML gives you fine control over how Decoration text is formatted and styled, while Lua scripting lets you create dynamic and programmable Decorations. Add Themes and Hiding, and you can shape both how your taskbar works and how it looks.
The examples that come with TaskManSync show just how far Decorations can go. They include fun, relaxing, and whimsical animated scenes such as an aquarium, a winter scene, and drifting shapes — along with practical and experimental examples that demonstrate what you can create.
Don’t like the clock that comes with KDE? Create one that’s yours. The provided example shows you how. Want your own alarm clock, timer, counter, or something completely different? More examples give you a head start, so you can customize an idea or build something entirely your own.
TaskManSync is serious about making your desktop more useful, but it doesn’t think your desktop has to be boring. Build a taskbar that works for you. Then make it yours.
